Privacy Policy — Taiken

Taiken is built to help you spend more time in real life and less time on your phone. We collect as little data as possible. This policy explains exactly what we store and why.
Who we are
Taiken is operated by Leon Friedrich, Berlin, Germany. For any privacy question, contact: hello@taiken.help.
What we collect
When you use Taiken, the following is stored on our backend (Supabase, hosted in the EU — Frankfurt, Germany):
An anonymous user ID. When you first open the app, we create a random identifier for your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or phone number.
Your plan. The action you choose, your trigger ("when I get home from work"), your nudge times, and the personal reason ("why") you optionally write during setup.
Your activity. Which action you logged on a given day, or whether you marked it a quiet day, together with the date and your time zone.
That is all. Everything is tied only to the anonymous ID above.
What we do NOT collect
No name, email address, or phone number.
No location or GPS data.
No contacts, photos, or health data.
No advertising identifiers.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Why we collect it
Solely to make the app work: to show your plan back to you, send your reminders, and display your own activity log. We do not use your data for advertising or analytics profiling.
Notifications
Taiken sends you reminders. You can turn these off at any time in your device's iOS settings. The app is designed around these reminders, so disabling them limits its function.
Where your data lives and how long
Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the EU (Frankfurt). We keep it for as long as you use the app. If you delete the app, your anonymous identifier on the device is removed; to have the associated backend data deleted, contact us at the email above.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Because your data is tied to an anonymous device identifier, please contact us at hello@taiken.help so we can locate and act on your request.
Children
Taiken is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
